Air Ventures Rhode Island - Providence, RI

All aviators are welcome to fly into our awesome non-towered airport, North Central State Airport! We've had all sorts of amazing visitors, to include Taylor Swift! Air Ventures Flying School has a lovely outdoor patio set and grill for anyone to use at their leisure! A comfortable air conditioned pilot's lounge, with complementary refreshments and homemade baked treats! Keep posted on the Air Ventures Flying School website for local events such as movie nights, luau's, chili cook-offs, live music events and more! The airport is located to many affordable and comfortable lodging nearby, shopping, and awesome restaurants! We highly suggest Blackie's or Terrazza's both are located narby outside patios if you don't plan on cooking at the airport. North Central is located only about 12 minutes from downtown providence! Block Island - New Shoreham, RI

Excellent resturant on field. 5$ cab ride into town VERY BUSY IN SUMMER so get there early, 10$ landing fee. Highly reccomend visiting here. - Submitted by flyinsaucer172

Newport's Bannister's Wharf - Newport, RI

Great dining options. Downtown Bannister's Wharf is about a 10 minute drive Uber available from the airport. Cruise down Thames St./America's Cup Ave. for shopping and dinning. Newport Shipyard's Belle's Cafe, great ogling of mega yachts and one-design racing sail boats. See the historic architecture - from colonial Trinity Church, America's oldest Tavern White Horse Tavern, to Newport Preservation Society's cottages Marble House, Breakers, Rosecliff, etc.. - Submitted by Guillaume

Nick and Joan's place - Warwick, RI

Awesome little diner near the airport ask the people at the fbo where it is they will give you good directions or if they aren't busy they will give you a lift. Mon-Thur: 6AM to 2PM Fri-Sat: 6AM to 7PM. - Submitted by Pete

Quonset State Airport - North Kingstown, RI

Located on Quonset Point in North Kingstown, Rhode Island adjacent to Narragansett Bay, Quonset State Airport is a joint civil-military public airport and a general aviation airport. The airport is the home of Quonset Point Air National Guard Station and the 143rd Airlift Wing of the Rhode Island Air National Guard, flying the C-130J Hercules. The Rhode Island Army National Guard also maintains an Army Aviation Support Facility adjacent to the Air National Guard Station for the 1st Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment, flying the UH-60 Blackhawk.
