Anchor Route 66 - Bristow, OK

Bristow is very competitive on fuel prices. We have two excellent restaurants Both within three minute drive in our courtesy car. Brand new runway, and terminal building. The Anchor Restaurant has excellent burgers and chicken. C and J's has excellent home-cooked meals. - Submitted by Lou

Cafes in Okemah - Okemah, OK

Okemah has a transit system which will take you to a restaurant and deliver you back to your plane, for $1 each way. KATS Public Transportation 918-623-1992. The breakfast destination is K-Bar Restaurant, with lunch destinations including Brick Street Cafe, Hen House Cafe, Sofia's Mexican Restaurant, Monterrey's Mexican Restaurant, T C'S Smokehouse Grill, Burger Paradise/ Burger Shack, and the K-Bar Restaurant. Nice N/S 2585 x 100 ft. turf strip. Transit operates M-F, but special arrangements may be made for groups on weekends. Great people, friendly and hospitable. David Beards Seafood & Steak - Idabel, OK

3-3-2007 We were flying back from St. Louis to San Antonio and stopped in Idabel, OK for fuel (under $3.00) :-) The airport had a courtsey car (honor system) available and we found our way to David Beard's Seafood & Steak. Echo Canyon Resort - Sulphur, OK

The brochure accurately describes this wonderful place asA beautiful resort specializing in romantic luxury lodging and fine dining. It is located on 30 acres in the Arbuckle Mountains, and is owned and beautifully managed by Joe and Carol Vanhorn, two of the finest folks you will ever meet. I have spent a weekend in this wonderful property, and I highly recomment Echo Canyon Resort. I have also flown to the resort to enjoy Carol's wonderful breakfast. Fly to KBVO - Eat at Dink's BBQ - Bartlesville, OK

Bartlesville, OK has long been the home of Phillips Petroleum, as in Phillips 66. Bartlesville Municipal Airport KBVO is home to a great FBO, Bartlesville Aviation. The terminal building is super clean and modern and they have multiple courtesy cars availability for use. They may ask that you buy fuel to use a car, which is understandable, but you probably won't mind since their price for 100LL is very reasonable. Use the courtesy car to drive 3-ish miles into town to Dink's Barbecue. They've been around since 1982, and Dink's smoked meats are legitimate - I believe them to be among the best in Oklahoma. Fly-In Vacation Home - Monkey Island, Grand Lake OK - Afton, OK

Grateful Head Pizza - Hochatown, OK

90F is a neat little municipal airport with a free courtesy car, just go to the City Website to get a form to fill out and email in. Nice cozy little terminal building and the pizza place is a short 10 miles north. They have many different varieties of pizza and you will not leave hungry! There is a gift shop with usual tchotchkies and stuff with their name and logo on it, as well as a ion of goods from local producers and artists... I went away with a jar of garlic stuffed olives. Come to think of it I need to stock up on olives... As any other lake-area resorty sort of town there are plenty of cabins and camping opportunities and other things to see and do. - Submitted by Adam Yavner

Great Airport near Grand Lake - Grove, OK

If you call ahead, you can probably get the courtesy car. There are several restaurants nearby, so if you're on one of those 100 Hamburger treks, you're in luck. There's everything from good ol' down-home cookin' to German cuisine. They even have a McDonalds if you're really after that 100 hamburger but there are better ones in town. - Submitted by Dave
